Dr Tian Zhuang
General Practitioner
Tian had her medical training both in Australia (Newcastle University) as well as abroad, graduated in 1983. She went on to post gradual study of public health (Master of Public Health) as well as in medical research (PhD) both in University of Sydney.
Tian is bilingual in English and Mandarin and has a background in Obstetrician and gynaecology before joining the Royal Australian College of General Practice training to become a GP.
She has practiced in the Newcastle area for 20 years and has worked at all five local hospitals (JHH, Mater, Belmont, Maitland, and Tamworth Hospital). She has been working with the GP Access afterhours clinics since 2006, current only at Belmont Hospital.
She works full time and has a broad interest in all fields of Medicine and attends most of the medical education/meetings and self-education to keep an updated medical knowledge.
She is a credited Methadone/Suboxone prescriber as well.
She loves travel. She has been artic to see Northern Lights, Antarctic penguins, and Galapagos Island etc.
She also likes gardening, planting flowers and vegetables.
On a nice day, she kayaks on the beautiful Lake Macquarie.

Dr Charlotte Jeffery
General Practitioner

Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners 2004
Charlotte graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, University of London, in 1997. She completed her GP training in Cornwall (UK) and at the John Hunter Hospital, becoming a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2004. In 2005 Charlotte worked for the After Hours Doctors in Hobart and moved to Lake Macquarie Medical Centre in 2009. When not consulting, or busy with her 4 children, Charlotte enjoys exercise (tennis and jogging), gardening, birdwatching and travel.
